Join us for a heartfelt and intentional Chosen Family Thanksgiving.
This holiday can be complicated for many of us. We are reclaiming this day to celebrate the most valuable thing we have: Each other.
The Vibe: A warm and joyous celebration.
The Mission: To give thanks for our found families, the safe spaces we cultivate together, and the powerful, messy, and revolutionary act of building family outside of tradition.
Open to all queer and trans folks: If you need a sanctuary, a hot meal, or a loving place to come home to this holiday—you are welcome here.
Come as you are. Bring your whole self. Let's make some new traditions.
Our host, a southern belle, is preparing some delightful southern soul foods for us: Collards greens, black eyed peas, candied yams, pork neck bones, biscuits, Honeybaked Ham, and more.
There will be variations of traditional foods like cranberry sauce(but fermented), cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy and more.
Optional: Bring desserts, beverages, and any home traditional dish you'd like to share.
Sponsored by Sir Doula: an intentional, family-centered, and community based doula practice with concentrations in gender-affirming care, pregnancy, and childbirth.
Hosted by The Queer Neighborhood Council (TQNC): a trans-led nonprofit organization that addresses the intersectional needs of Greater Boston's LGBTQIA+ communities through community organizing, strategic partnerships, artistic development and the celebration of queer joy
